Magali Revollar Quispe, born in Ayacucho, Peruvian Andes, is a Peruvian-Spanish cantautora and performer of Andean-Latin American music, now based in Madrid. Masterful in Quechua (her ancestral tongue), she weaves ancestral sounds with contemporary emotion.
Multi-instrumentalist (charango, quena, zampoña, tarka, tinya) and dancer of Peruvian folklore, her compositions featured in Spanish films by Fernando Colomo, including El próximo Oriente.
Recently released Yaya Kuntur (Father Condor) with harpist Manuel Vilas and Ars Atlántica—himnos in Latin and Quechua from 16th-19th centuries. In Spytheland, her powerful voice embodies Warmi in three key tracks.
