Warmi Warrior
A Musical Tale of Survival and Renewal
Warmi Warrior is a conceptual album that tells the life journey of Warmi, a young Peruvian woman, deeply passionate about music and dance, who is forced to leave her homeland by a false promise. What begins as an opportunity —the possibility of a better life, of music, of recognition— soon turns into a path of deception, subjugation, and silence.
After arriving in Spain, Warmi becomes trapped in a network of exploitation that gradually strips her of her identity, her voice, and her connection to home. Geographic distance becomes emotional distance as guilt, fear, and nostalgia intertwine with the need to survive. The album explores this dark space where time seems suspended and hope survives only through small gestures, memories, and intimate acts of resistance.
However, Warmi Warrior is not only a story of downfall. Above all, it is a story of transformation through music, understood as an epic vehicle for the channeling of emotions. Through a slow process of awakening, Warmi finds the strength to escape, rebuild herself, and reclaim her own destiny. Love, not as external salvation but as mutual recognition, opens a crack through which light begins to return.
Motherhood, memory, music, and recovered dignity become the pillars of a new beginning. The name Warmi —meaning woman in Quechua— ceases to be merely an identity and becomes an affirmation of resilience. Warmi Warrior is a tribute to the invisible struggles of migration, to endurance in the face of displacement, and to the human capacity to rise again after loss. An emotional journey that crosses fear and darkness to ultimately affirm life.
This project is based on the vital history of Magali Revollar.
